Our goldsmith is happy to look at the old gold with you to determine what the possibilities are. Beautiful creations can be made with just a few grams. We determine the weight and can give an indication of the possible creations with this. We have many examples for this, but of course your own design is also possible. Any stones are removed from the jewelry before it is melted and can be used again as desired in the new design. Our goldsmith has a lot of experience in melting down and reusing old gold and likes to think creatively about the possibilities of creating a new, personal piece of jewelry.

Upcycling, sustainability, but above all personal
Reusing gold is an environmentally conscious and sustainable choice. Melting down existing gold reduces the need for new mining and reduces the carbon footprint of your jewelry. Moreover, you do not have to invest in gold when having a piece of jewelry made. Melting down and then processing the material for the jewelry is more labor intensive than using new gold. But, perhaps most important of all, you retain the sentimental value of the old gold. Our goldsmith is happy to make video footage of the melting down and subsequent processing, a nice reminder and proof of the use of your gold. You will always get any remaining gold back from us, or we will indicate what we could do with it for you. We often make a nugget from this leftover gold that can be worn as a pendant on a chain, for example.

- Tijdens de afspraak test en weeg ik het goud
- We bespreken jouw of jullie wensen voor de nieuwe ontwerp(en)
- Ik maak een offerte en bereken of je genoeg goud hebt en wat de kosten zijn
- Je brengt je oude goud langs (als je dat nog niet gedaan had) en betaal 50% aan
- Ik plan de opdracht in, ga er vervolgens mee aan de slag en film het proces
- Je komt het ophalen en betaald de overige 50%
- Ik bewerk de video en breng je op de hoogte wanneer deze klaar is

Wat kost dit?
In de offerte zet ik de exacte kosten, maar laten we even uitgaan van een vanafprijs van €300. Het laten maken van een sieraad van oud goud is niet altijd goedkoper, er komt namelijk meer arbeid bij kijken dan om iets van nieuw goud te maken. Vooral bij items die veel gram bevatten ga je een prijsverschil zien. Een item van oud goud bevat alleen wél altijd emotionele waarde en die is natuurlijk altijd hoog.
